What's included in the £390 investigation fee?
The investigation fee covers our response, full diagnosis, root cause identification and a detailed recommendation for fixing the issue. You'll receive a written report with estimated costs for the fix. This fee is separate from the actual implementation work.
How do you determine the cost of the fix?
After investigation, we provide a detailed quote based on the complexity of the issue, time required, and type of solution needed. Simple fixes might be a few hours work, while complex issues requiring migration or rebuild could be several days. We always provide the quote before starting work.
What's the difference between medium-term and long-term fixes?
A medium-term fix stabilises the immediate issue and gets you operational again - typically implemented within hours or days. A long-term fix addresses underlying problems to prevent recurrence and may involve infrastructure upgrades, migrations, or rebuilds - these require a full proposal and longer implementation timeline.
Do I have to proceed with the fix after investigation?
No. The £390 investigation gives you the information you need to make an informed decision. You can choose to proceed with our recommended fix, implement a different solution, or take the findings to another provider. There's no obligation to continue.
How does the Digital Care Package work?
The care package includes 2 hours of support time per month with priority emergency response. Package clients don't pay the £390 investigation fee - we respond as part of your package. Unused hours roll over (up to 6 hours maximum). You can upgrade to 4, 8, or 20 hour packages for higher volume needs.
What happens if the fix costs more than expected?
We never exceed the quoted price without your approval. If we discover additional issues during implementation, we pause work, provide an updated quote, and wait for your authorisation before continuing. You're always in control of costs.
